About Us

DOT-COMmunications was first formed in January 2001 (as a web design service) and, after a successful pilot project under Change-Up in 2005, our IT Support Service was re launched in April 2008 as was 3R-iT, our computer and IT recycling and refurbishment services.

DOT-COMm is Calderdale's only dedicated provider of computer services to Charities, Voluntary & Community groups, Faith Organisations (including local churches, mosques and temples) and Not-for-Profit Social Enterprises. We can also support volunteers and home workers of such organisations provided they live within Calderdale.

I'm sorry but we DO NOT SUPPORT commercial businesses or private individuals and we cannot provide technical support to organisations situated outside of Calderdale, though we may be able to recommend someone if you wish to contact us. The staff will happily explain any jargon or technical terms they have to use and more importantly what they are doing so you you can be confident of always being kept fully informed and hopefully together we can prevent the same problems from recurring.
  
  
• We will not try to befuddle or confuse you. Occasionally we come across a situation where we do not know the solution. When that happens we will tell you. You will not be charged for the work to date however we will go away and try and find a solution or recommend a specialist who can.
  
  
• We are a service provider who has primarily built up its loyal customer base through word of mouth and recommendations.
  
  
• We can supply you with an integrated package of IT services tailored to your specific requirements and needs.
  
  
• We're local, based in Calderdale.
  
  
• We provide a high quality but low cost service, run not-for-profit. Our technical support services are provided with a No Fix, No Fee Guarantee, we provide fixed prices up front and there are no call-out charges for Calderdale-based clients and finally all new parts are supplied at cost and you get to keep the part being replaced.

DOT-COMmunications (or DOT-COMm as its affectionately known to its staff) was established by the Ground Floor Project (charity number 515918) and is based at the Salem Community Resource Centre in Hebden Bridge.
