DOT-COMmunICaTions has a mission: to help the people of Calderdale to benefit from high quality, low cost computer support services.
We can provide individuals and families with an affordable in-centre repair service which includes malware removal, reinstalls and data recovery and transfers as well as system healthchecks and repairs.
We ONLY provide our I.T. support contracts and hosting services to:
Local businesses including Not-for-Profit Social Enterprises, and
Registered Charities, Voluntary & Community Groups, Faith Organisations (including local churches, mosques and temples) based in Calderdale.
We can also support volunteers and home workers of such organisations provided they also live within Calderdale and the service is provided with permission of the organisation.
We aim to assist you to get the most from their I.T. equipment and to improve your computer skills. We have continually expanded and adapted our services because as a not-for-profit community-based scheme ourselves, we value long term customer relationships over profit.
Our origins and values are themselves firmly grounded in the Voluntary, Community and Not-for-Profit Sector. DOT-COMmunICaTIons is run along community lines (with an unpaid management committee), so we really do understand the sector’s specific problems and needs.
Working our way and with our experience of the voluntary and community sector, our customers trust us to get on and deal with their I.T. problems. Our approach is about using plain language (we try and avoid all unneccessary jargon) and keeping customers informed. It's our aim to work alongside, support and advise your own staff and volunteers rather than just sell you our products and services.
It is our experience that support providers that service businesses and individuals, as well as community organisations, usually ends up giving its most profitable clients its highest levels of service. In our experience that description is rarely applied to not-for-profit organisations.
