After recording all relevant data the external surfaces of the equipment are cleaned and checked for visible and non-visible (exposed to ultraviolet light) donor specific identifiers.
After detection all donor specific identifiers are removed or erased as appropriate.
The erasing of donor specific data from network equipment will be device specific. However, it is DOT-COMmunications' policy is to undertake to remove all traceability between the equipment donor and the recipient of a refurbished device or component.
