Refurbish for Reuse is 20 times more energy efficient than recycling, yet less that 2% of recycled computers in the UK end up being reused. we want to change that.
We provide local businesses and organisations looking to dispose of their end-of-life I.T. equipment with the best industry practice when it comes to data security and waste legislation.
3R-iT is fully accredited by the Regional Electronics Initiative, regulated by the Environment Agency and approved as a Microsoft Registered Community Refurbisher.
We specialise in refurbishing and recycling I.T. and telecommunications equipment on behalf of public and private sector clients across West Yorkshire.
Due to the rapid evolution of I.T. equipment, manty organisations and businesses have equipment they need to securely dispose of. We accept donations of unwanted equipment from local authorities and agencies, businesses and individuals who would rather their old equipment was reused rather than going to landfill.
Wherever possible, working equipment is reconditioned and redistributed at cost to local charities and community organisations as well as people on low income and we ensure that any materials that cannot be reused is properly recycled locally, with all hazardous components safely broken down in-house in full accordance with environmental and data protection legislation.
We welcome the donation of computer and I.T. equipment that complies with our minimum specification, which will then be made available at cost to local not-for-profit organisations and individuals on low income/
We also continue to accept older or non-functional I.T. equipment in accordance with current environmental legislation, however we may have to charge for this service.
All equipment received is classed as a charitable donation in-kind and may be tax-deductable. Donor certificates are issued to all businesses and agencies to confirm the donation of equipment.
